What Do Swimmers Get In Their Gift Bag For Making Division II NCAAs?

2025 NCAA Division II Championships

The NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships begin tomorrow night, Tuesday March 11th, in Indianapolis. Most teams traveled to Indianapolis over the weekend. Nova Southeastern looks to win their 3rd straight on the women’s side while the Tampa men look to defend their title as well.

As part of earning an invite to NCAAs, athletes earned a gift bag from the NCAA and Division II. Some of the items in the bag included:

  • NCAA gift bag
  • Powerade water bottle
  • Participation medallion
  • Division II bag
  • Division II hat
  • Selfie phone light
  • Water bottle
  • Bag tag
  • 3 in 1 wireless charger
  • Speaker

At the 1981 D1 NCAA Championships, I got a paper suit that ripped during the meet and $8 / day in meal money. I was eating crackers and rolls for lunch and dinner. I also got the honor and privilege to represent my university. I cherish that honor and experience to this day.

acting like d2 isn’t full of international swimmers… in fact, the eligibility rules make it significantly easier for international swimmers to swim in d2 than d1
