USC senior center Tilly Kearns has secured her second set of MPSF Player of the Week honors this season after going big for the Trojans in a key conference win over the weekend. Kearns served up six goals on eight shots with two steals and a field block added in USC’s 12-11 win over No. 1 Stanford, snapping a seven-game losing skid to the Cardinal and avenging the Trojans’ lone loss of the year.

In spite of being tagged with two exclusions in the second quarter, Kearns unleashed four goals in the fourth quarter to help USC erase a three-goal deficit and get in position to win. Her six-goal outburst was just one off her career high, and marked the most Kearns has scored against Stanford in her USC career.

Now with 82 goals scored this season, Kearns holds the fifth most single-season goals scored by a Trojan while standing at No. 4 in career goals with 244.

Kearns is one of two Trojans to be named MPSF Player of the Week this season with her two selections going along with Rachel Gazzaniga’s award on Feb. 3.

USC’s next action comes on April 12 and 13 in the Trojans’ final home stand of the season at Uytengsu Aquatics Center. USC will host Arizona State at 1 p.m. on April 12, and then faces San José State at 1 p.m. on April 13. The Trojans also will celebrate Senior Day on April 13.
