LAS VEGAS – Six home competitions and an invitational at Northwestern highlight the 2019-20 slate for the UNLV men’s and women’s swimming and diving, as the schedule was released by the athletics department Monday.
“Our November Invite will be a select travel squad this year, and we’re excited to head to Northwestern for the first time,” said Head Coach Ben Loorz. “Some traditional home-and-home match-ups will continue, such as UC Santa Barbara and Wyoming in January.”
The Rebels will begin the season with a women only dual meet against UNR Oct. 11 at the Jim Reitz Pool. The first full team home meet of the season for UNLV will be against CSU Bakersfield on Oct. 12, followed by three consecutive away dual meets against Cal Baptist, Utah, and BYU.
The Rebels will host their annual UNLV Invite Dec. 15-17 at the Jim Reitz Pool, this will close out the fall semester.
The first meet following the winter break, will be an away dual meet against UCSB on Jan. 11. Then it’s two home dual meets, one on Jan. 18 against Wyoming, followed by senior day on Feb. 1 against Grand Canyon.
This year’s Mountain West Women’s Championships will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, from Feb. 19-22, while the Men’s WAC Championship meet will take place in Houston, Texas, from Feb. 26-29. Women’s NCAA Championship meet will be hosted at the University of Georgia in Athens from March 18-21. Men’s NCAA Championship meet will take place at Indiana University- Purdue University Indianapolis in Indianapolis from March 25-28.
