Trials Mondiali 2022 USA: Recap E Risultati Batterie Day 3

2022 U.S. WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TRIALS

Si è aperto a Greensboro, in North Carolina, il terzo giorno dei Trials USA che decideranno le squadre nazionali per i Campionati del Mondo di Budapest, i Junior Pan Pacific Championships e Mel Zajac Jr. Invitational.

Come promemoria, ricordiamo le procedure di qualificazione di USA Swimming. Di seguito le priorità in base alle quali verranno convocati gli atleti:

  1.  vincitori di ogni evento olimpico e i primi quattro finisher nei 100 e 200 stile libero.
  2. I secondi classificati in ogni evento olimpico diverso da 100 e 200 stile libero
  3. I vincitori degli eventi non olimpici dei 50 metri (dorso, rana, farfalla).

Se la squadra non raggiungerà il numero massimo, (26 uomini, 26 donne) saranno poi scelti il quinto e sesto posto nei 100 e 200 stile libero.

Nota: Tutte le qualifiche si basano su nuotatori che raggiungono lo standard FINA ‘A’.

PUNTI SALIENTI BATTERI DAY 3

La mattina si è aperta con i 400 metri misti femminili e maschili. Nella gara femminile il tempo più veloce lo ha realizzato la sedicenne Leah Hayes che ha nuotato il personale chiudendo la distanza in 4:39.65.

Per gli uomini, con un vantaggio di quasi un secondo, Chase Kalisz conquista la corsia centrale nella finale di stanotte don il tempo di 4:13.24.

Caeleb Dressel ha affrontato questa mattina le batterie dei 100 metri farfalla, realizzando il primo tempo al mondo in questa stagione, 50.01.

Michael Andrew subito dopo aver realizzato il terzo tempo delle batterie dei 100 metri farfalla (51.57), si è rituffato per affrontare le qualifiche dei 50 metri rana, nuotando il secondo tempo americano più veloce della storia, 26.78.

E’ stata anche la mattina dei record nei 50 metri dorso.

Nella gara femminile, Regan Smith ha stabilito il nuovo U.S. Open Record con il tempo di 27.40 (leggi qui il nostro approfondimento)In quella maschile, Hunter Armstrong ha nuotato il secondo tempo più veloce della storia fermando il crono a 24.01 (leggi di più qui).
