Florida International came away with wins in 11 of 16 events against Florida Atlantic at the FAU Aquatic Center in Boca Raton, Florida on Saturday, February 3rd.
FIU took the top spot in 10 of 16 events to defeat Nova Southeastern 154-108 Saturday on Senior Day in women’s collegiate swimming at the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center.
Utah won 6 of 8 shootout events, as well as 15 of 18 regular events en route to a 1st place finish in men’s scoring and 2nd in women’s.
The FIU swimming and diving program took first in nine of the 16 events and opened the season with a lopsided 164.5-115.5 victory over visiting Miami (Fla.) Saturday at the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center.
FIU is bringing two more outstanding international athletes to their roster this fall with the addition of Stephanie Hussey (Quebec) and Sara Gyertyanffy (Italy.)
