Scoring 479 points, Carmel won by their largest margin in history, finishing 279 points ahead of Fishers (200).
Dewitt (52.85) and Berglund (52.87) both broke 53 for the first time, as Carmel looks good to claim their 35th-straight IHSAA title.
Carter Lancaster (left) led off Carmel’s record-breaking 400 free relay and later posted the 6th-best time in 13-14 age group history in the 200 backstroke.
Carmel HS has extended their historic winning streak to 34 while Fishers improved to runner-up at the 2020 IHSAA Girls Swimming and Diving State Finals.
The third day of the Indy Sectional meet, national team members Devon Nowicki and Kaersten Meitz graced the top of the podium in the finals session.
