Drew teDuits: Backstroke/ Medley Personal and Youth Swimming: Drew teDuits was born on July 9, 1993 to Eric and Laura teDuits in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. teDuits, the oldest of five, is part of a big swimming family. Growing up, teDuits swam for the Badger Aquatics Club under head coach Drew Walden. teDuits competed at numerous state, junior national, and national meets throughout the years, making teDuits a big name in Wisconsin Swimming. The name only gets bigger as teDuits grows older and continues to improve. teDuits attended Edgewood High School in Madison where he swam for four years. His freshman year he finished second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 53.37. Over the course of the remaining three years of high school swimming, second-place was no longer an option. By teDuits' senior year he had accumulated four state titles (three of which were the 100-yard backstroke), and had dropped his 100-yard backstroke time down to a 48.82. teDuits was also an All-American several years. College Swimming: teDuits was one of the top recruits coming out of high school in 2011. Although he had offers to Florida, Iowa, and ASU, teDuits decided to stay close to home and attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison to swim under …
