College football is back, but so is college swimming…

Kirsty Coventry swam at the All-Africa Games recently and captured this great picture of the pool (below) in Brazzaville, Congo. This was the 50th anniversary of these Games, and the first time Brazzaville hosted them since 1965, when the inaugural Games took place.

Congrats to Bruce Gemmell for earning accolades as the ASCA coach of the year, his third straight! Good things happen when you have connections with Katie Ledecky (especially if you’re her coach).

Drew teDuits, a recent grad from the University of Wisconsin where he won the 2013 NCAA title in the 200 backstroke, was one of two Badger recipients of the Big Ten Medal of Honor. He was the first Badger swimmer to win an individual NCAA title since 1959!
