Cal’s 400 medley false start. Stanford flyer Hu finished .02 ahead of Cal’s Noemie Thomas, but you can see how far ahead Weitzeil was coming off the block (Neal’s reaction time was .26).

As a Wolverine mom, I love the scowling, arms-folded Michigan fan in the photo captured “Stanford bench.” There’s room to insert the word “mostly” there.
