COLCHESTER, Vt. – Saint Michael’s College men’s and women’s swimming & diving head coach Eileen Hall joined the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving Rules Committee this fall as one of two NCAA Division II representatives. She will serve a four-year term.

Now in her 12th year as head coach of both teams, and 13th at the College, Hall is a member of an eight-person committee, which is comprised of coaches and athletic directors from all three divisions. The committee proposes and votes on new rules for all levels of NCAA swimming & diving.

Hall has matched Jim Donoghue ’70 for the longest tenure by a Saint Michael’s women’s swimming & diving head coach, and trails only Donoghue (15) for the longest stint leading the men. While head coach, Hall’s student-athletes have achieved one All-America finish at the NCAA Championship, reached NCAA cuts 16 times, won nine individual Northeast-10 Conference Championship races, and set one NE10 Championship record. Her swimmers have set and reset program records more than 75 times, including once already in 2021-22.

Hall joins men’s lacrosse head coach Alex Smith and men’s soccer head coach Wade Jean as Saint Michael’s representatives on NCAA committees. Smith is the NCAA Division II representative to the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Rules Committee, while Jean is a member of the NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Committee as the East Region’s representative.
