Coach John Spadafina will head into his third-year as Head Coach for Sacred Heart University’s Women’s Swim Coach, with the 2016-17 scheduled being released this afternoon. They will host a SHU Alumni Swim meet/Pentathlon on October 1st at 11 a.m.
The season officially opens on October 15th with a dual meet at LIU Brooklyn at 11 a.m. They will travel to Iona College the following week to face Iona, St. Francis College & Wagner at 11 a.m. on October 22nd.
Their first home appearance will be a dual meet versus College of Holy Cross at McCann Natatarium in Milford, CT on November 5th at 12 p.m. Sacred Heart will remain at home again on November 12th, hosting a dual meet against Assumption College at 12 p.m.
On December 2nd, Sacred Heart will take a break from the regular season and participate in the Eastern College Athletic Conference Invitational. 1m Diving will start at 4 p.m. and swimming will be held at 6 p.m. On December 3rd, diving will take place at 10 a.m. and swimming at 6 p.m. The third and final day will be held on December 4th starting at 10 a.m.
They will resume the regular reason on January 14th, traveling to Manhattan College for a dual meet at 2 p.m. The following Sunday, January 22nd, they will head to Fairfield University for a dual meet at 2 p.m. Their final away game will be a dual meet at Monmouth University on January 27th at 4:30 p.m.
The Pioneers will finish with the regular season with two dual meets at home. The first on January 28th versus Central Connecticut State at 12 p.m, the second versus St. Francis Brooklyn on February 4th at 12 p.m. The final meet on February 4th will be Senior Day.
The 2017 Northeast Conference Championship will be held from February 15-18th at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA.
