Laughlin Sets Pool Record as UC Davis Wins Dual Meet with Fresno State

UC Davis took down Fresno State in a dual meet on Friday, posting a final score of 160-132. That snapped a 5-meet winning streak for Fresno State. UC Davis’ Laughlin set a new pool record in the 200 back to highlight the meet with a 2:00.04. Full results can be found here.

Pittsburgh Resumes Action vs. West Virginia

The Pitt men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams are set to resume action on Saturday, Jan. 9, when they travel to Morgantown, W.Va., to go head-to-head with long-time rivals, the Mountaineers, beginning at 10 a.m. at the WVU Natatorium.

Xavier Women, IUPUI Men Pick Up Double Wins in Tri-Meet

In a tri-meet between Ball State, Xavier, and IUPUI on Friday, the Xavier women swept the competition. They beat IUPUI 154-133, and Ball State 159-135. The IUPUI women won a tight battle to take home a win over Ball State, 150.5-148.5. On the men’s side, IUPUI grabbed double wins over Xavier (192-99) and Ball State (201-96). Wabash Men Down Northern Michigan 118-108

In a dual meet on Friday, the Wabash college men were victorious over Northern Michigan. The meet was closely contested as they finished with a 118-108 score. The Northern Michigan women swam to a 146-81 win over Hillsdale. Full results can be found here.

Alabama Opens 2016 with Two-Day Meet against Tennessee

The Alabama swimming and diving teams dive back into action at home this Friday and Saturday against Southeastern Conference rival Tennessee. The meet will be something of a rarity, split across two days and competed over a 50-meter course instead of 25-yards, which is the standard in the collegiate ranks.
