University of Louisville Sweeps Kentucky, Kylliainen wins three

Tanja Kylliainen was all over the in-state rival Wildcats, winning the 200 fly, 200 back and 200 IM. Joao de Lucca, Kameron Chastain and Kelsi Worrell all won two events apiece for the Cardinals.

Stanford sweeps all but three events in 200-based event line-up vs Arizona State

The Stanford men would have swept the meet but for a relay DQ, and the women got double wins from Felicia Lee and Stephanie Phipps while only giving up a pair of wins to ASU’s Tristin Baxter.

Duke Women Top Richmond in Non-Conference Action

Following an ACC dual meet Friday evening against nationally-ranked Virginia, the Duke women’s swimming and diving team returned to the pool in strong form Saturday afternoon, defeating the Richmond women by a score of 160-131.

Cal wins second-straight televised competition, rolls over Arizona at home

Cal was nothing short of dominant at home, winning 206-92 on the men’s side and 190-109 for the women. Missy Franklin and Ryan Murphy each won four races, putting up huge relay splits along the way.

“We hadn’t been home for a while, and they came together and swam tough right from the beginning,” said head swim coach Sean Schimmel. “They stayed sharp all the way through it.
