November 10th, 2012 News

Scott Weltz, 2012 Olympian in 200 meter breast stroke, is a great story. He was at school at UC Davis, where they dropped men’s swimming. He and his coach, Motekaitis found a way to keep swimming, mainly on his own.

Listen to him talk with Katrina Radke about how he felt swimming a best time in the 100 yard breast stroke tonight, and how they made it happen in Davis, California.

Keep SHINING, Scott!

Interesting interview, I didn’t know he’s never really done any short-course races. Hope to see more of him!

I enjoyed meeting Scott at Trials during the athlete meet-and-greets. I hope he’s able to continue his training and keep competing at the elite level for as long as he wishes.
