Michael Phelps To Appear in USA Network’s “Suits”

Michael Phelps will be in Toronto this week for his return to the television screen. Phelps has a guest role on the USA Network legal drama, Suits. Phelps will be playing himself while lawyer Harvey Specter, played by Gabriel Macht, tries to persuade Phelps to sign as a client. The situation becomes interesting as rival lawyer, Scottie, played by Abigail Spencer, also tries to sign Phelps. They are filming this week and the show is scheduled to air in early 2014 with the midseason premier of season three.

Michael Phelps tweeted on July 30th, “#suits season 3 is awesooommeee!!!” On the 10th of August, he also tweeted that his favorite show is Suits. He has made several television appearances outside of the Olympics including HBO’s Entourage, Saturday Night Live, The Apprentice, Shaq Vs., and The Haney Project.

Phelps is not the only American swimmer who has made TV guest appearances. Missy Franklin and Ryan Lochte have both had guest roles in television shows. Missy Franklin appeared in Pretty Little Liars and Ryan Lochte appeared in 90210.
