The TCU men’s swimming & diving team returns to action in a cross-town battle with SMU on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Mansfield ISD Natatorium.
It’s the third meet this season for the Horned Frogs, as TCU (2-0) has claimed victories over Texas-Permian Basin and North Dakota.
Last season, the Frogs made history as they defeated the Mustangs, 177.5-122.5, in a dual meet for the first time since the program’s inception. TCU won 11 of 16 events, eight that featured 2014-15 student-athletes.
This will be the first dual meet for the Mustangs this season, who return seven all-conference performers from last year. SMU opened their season at the three-day NTS A Meet in Frisco from Oct. 31-Nov. 2.
Two weeks ago, the Frogs toppled North Dakota by a score of 169-126. TCU recorded 11 first-place times in the dual, bringing the total to 18 overall this season.
Top finishers included: Thor Stenfjord (1000 free), Cooper Robinson (100 & 200 back), Ford Story (100 breast), Carlos Hunnicutt (200 fly), Garrett Hills (50 & 100 free), Ricky Bradley (3-meter & 1-meter dive), John Remetta (200 breast) and Matt Spallas (100 fly).
