Laszlo Cseh improved four meet records during the three days of competition of the International Swim Meeting in Berlin: 200 IM 2:02,13; 400 IM 4:20,73, 50 m butterfly 23,98 and 100 m butterfly in 52,38 – he ranked first in the world at the moment with a time of 51,40 seconds. “I’am very satisfied with my results here in Berlin. Every race in this Olympic season is important. I’am on a good way.” summarized the World Champion his performances at the German swim meet. He also won the 200 m butterfly in 2:02,13.

Sarah Vasey and Jessica Fullalove from Great Britain added each two meet records: Vasey succeeded in the 50 m breaststroke in 31,17 and the 100 m breaststroke in 1:08,36. Fullalove touched the wall first with new meet records in the 50 m backstroke in 28,64 seconds and 100 m backstroke in 1:00,37 minutes.

More than 1400 swimmers from 26 nations competed at the ISM 2016. The ISM should be the biggest swim meet in Germany. The evening finals of the 50 m sprint distances are swum under spotlight and this always creates a special atmosphere at one of the world’s fastest pools, the the “SSE Europasportpark”. This year, Berlin is one of the stops of the FINA World Cup – after a two-year break.
