Saint Louis University has picked up Wyatt Johnson of Lakeside Swim Team in Kentucky. Johnson is a senior at Saint Xavier High School.
I’m excited to announce my commitment to continue swimming and study civil engineering at Saint Louis University. I’d like to thank my friends, coaches and family for supporting me through the recruiting process. Go Billikens!

Johnson is a sprint freestyler, with range from the 50 up to the 200. His lifetime best in the 50 is from the 18&U Winter Championships in December, while he went bests in the 100 and 200 free in March at the 2021 Cary Sectionals.
Johnson is another case of a swimmer making significant progression since the pandemic hit; as of March 2020, he was 21.7/48.3/1:46.0 in the sprint freestyle events.
Last season, Johnson would’ve been the Billikens’ #2 50 freestyler, #3 100 freestyler and #4 200 freestyler. He should be an immediate contributor for them, and potentially could be a leg on all of the free relays. His current bests have him just outside of scoring speed in the 50 free and 100 free at the Atlantic-10 Championships.
