Breaststroke and IM specialist Braden Moss has committed to swim at Lafayette College in Pennsylvania for his collegiate career. Moss hails from Ohio, where he swims for Upper Arlington Swim Club and competes for Upper Arlington High School. He will join the Leopards in the fall of 2025.

At the OHSAA Division I State Championship meet last month, Moss posted a best time of 1:54.18 in the 200 IM, which placed him 13th. He also added a 22nd place performance in the 100 breaststroke, notching a sub-1:00 effort of 59.87. He ended his short course season a week later, bagging multiple best times and showing some versatility at the OSI Senior Meet. He swam to times of 52.52 in the 100 butterfly, 48.14 in the 100 freestyle, 1:45.38 in the 200 freestyle, and 2:12.87 in the 200 breaststroke.
The 17-year-old will be a strong addition to Lafayette’s breaststroke and IM groups. His strongest event on the team’s depth chart is the 200 IM, where his best would have ranked 2nd during the 2024-25 season. His aforementioned 59.15 and 2:12.87 in the breast events would situate him 5th.
Similarly, his 200 IM would have placed him the highest at the conference level. He would have about a second shy of earning a ‘C’-final swim at the 2025 Patriot Championships, where 1:53.00 was 24th out of the preliminaries.

The Lafayette men placed 7th out of 10 teams at the 2025 Patriot League Championships. The team is led by head coach James Dailey, who is in his 30th season with the program.
Moss will join fellow recruits Jackson Wagner, Trevor Olson, JT Tucker, Charlie Moon, and Auggie Sefcik at Lafayette in the fall.
