Saline Swim Team (SST-MI) has announced the promotion of Coach Kristyne Cole to Associate Head Coach and Director of Membership. Coach Cole has been with the SST staff for nearly two years; her new role will include expanded responsibilities on and off the pool deck.
Kristyne Cole grew up swimming in Ann Arbor and attended Pioneer High School. She went on to compete as a member of the University of Michigan swim team where she was a two-time captain. In 2012, Kristyne graduated from the UM school of Kinesiology with a B.S. in Physical Education and health. Coach Cole has a depth of local coaching experience including: Michigan Swim Camps, Huron Valley Swim Club, Saline High School, Pioneer High School and Skyline High School.
In addition to her on deck responsibilities, Coach Cole will be interfacing with current and potential SST families. Coach Cole will act as a community ambassador; welcoming new families to the team and helping their transition to the program. Coach Cole’s role will also include staff recruitment, fundraising and social media management. Coach Cole will seek to leverage her deep community ties to enable SST swimmers take advantage of the rich resources available in the greater Ann Arbor area.
Saline Swim Team, is a USA swim club competing in Michigan with the stated mission of creating a community driven swim team with impacts on a local, national and international scale.
