Katinka Hosszu at 2015 European SC Champs: “I’m really in shock” (Video)

2015 European Short Course Swimming Champions at the Wingate Institute in Netanya, Israel

Katinka Hosszu of Hungary spoke to Shvoong after breaking the world record in the 400 meter individual medley on Wednesday at the 2015 European Short Course Championships. You can read about her race here.

Hosszu spoke about the ease with which she transitions from the short course pool to the long course pool, and back again. The unrested Hosszu admitted being surprised to have set the world record, saying, “Honestly, I didn’t really rest at all. I did not expect the world record whatsoever. I’m in shock and I’m really enjoying the experience.”
