Marketing Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a Marketing Specialist that is passionate about the water and developing/deploying marketing assets to position both SwimOutlet and Sporti as premier aquatic brands. This position will report directly to the Director of Marketing and be a critical interface with cross functional teams across the organization.

The Marketing Specialist will take ownership in supporting the Director of Marketing in developing Go-To-Marketing strategies + content for Sporti, as well as digital marketing assets across email and SMS for both SwimOutlet.com and Sporti. Knowledge of digital marketing, product marketing and competitive swimming are the key to success for this position.

What you will do

Retention Marketing

  • Assist the Director of Marketing in email + SMS calendar development and management
  • Coordinate all aspects of the email marketing + SMS campaigns: brief submission, project management, internal creative review, SL/PH copywriting, testing and deployment 
  • Own creating and distributing weekly recap reports on email + SMS performance

Product Marketing

  • Support the end-to-end process of bringing products to market with the Product Team and Director of Marketing by developing Go-To-Market strategies + content for Sporti (trim, packaging, digital content)
  • Support Go-To-Market process by developing product names, color names, feature icons/copy and product descriptions
  • Own PDP content strategy: selecting and uploading ecomm images, alternative lifestyle images, videos, etc.
  • Assist the Director of Marketing in creating photoshoot shot lists and attending photoshoots
  • Identify opportunities for new landing pages, collection pages and other relative web content 
  • Work cross functionally with social media and content teams on developing blog, product guide and product comparison content 
  • Generate weekly reports to analyze and identify keep opportunities to sell through inventory leveraging other digital marketing channels (organic social, paid media, email).
  • Develop and deploy new Amazon A+ content

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing, or English related fields preferred.
  • Have exceptionally strong writing and storytelling skills across multiple mediums
  • 3+ years related experience in digital content development
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Have a solid education, background, and experience in digital marketing
  • Have strong content management skills with a balanced understanding of marketing programs
  • Must have experience planning and executing marketing programs.
  • Candidates with experience in ESPs are a plus
  • Background working within Content Management Systems (CMS) and having comfort integrating content and other web assets related to these tools is a plus
  • Be a fast, flexible and effective problem solver
  • Be proactive and self-motivated
  • Be able to think outside the box and see the big picture
  • Must be comfortable handling several projects and deliverables at once
  • Attention to detail without sacrificing deadlines and the ability to execute projects from beginning to end
  • Demonstrate the ability to work quickly and efficiently with Google Docs Suite, Google Slides/Powerpoint/Keynote and Excel
  • Understanding of digital metrics and KPIs
  • A background in competitive swimming is a plus!
