Mizzou Swimming & Diving is seeking an energetic, creative, and highly motivated Graduate Assistant to serve as our Assistant Recruiting Coordinator & Content Creator.
This position is ideal for someone with a love of swimming and diving, strong communication skills, and a passion for connecting with prospective student-athletes. The successful candidate will play a key role in recruiting, relationship-building, content creation, and brand development for one of the nation’s premier swimming and diving programs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build relationships with recruits and families through phone calls, text messages, email, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, and other communication platforms.
- Travel to swim meets and recruiting events to evaluate and connect with prospective student-athletes.
- Assist with planning and execution of recruiting visits.
- Create engaging photo, video, and social media content that promotes the Mizzou Swimming & Diving experience.
- Manage and grow the program’s social media presence and digital outreach efforts.
- Help position Mizzou Swimming & Diving as one of the most exciting destinations for prospective student-athletes.
- Identify, engage, and recruit prospective student-athletes.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in sales, marketing, communications, content creation, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with social media platforms and digital content creation.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and relationship-driven.
- Excitement and willingness to travel for recruiting purposes.
