Aikins was also 2:01 last year about this far out of Nationals then dropped a 1:54 low. Taper dude.

With the way his freestyle has been looking, ain’t no way we don’t get Shaine trying out either a 100 free or 200 free

wasn’t shaine’s last 50 of his 200 IM faster than carson’s this weekend

yes and he had a 28.3 at the Elite Invite meet coming home. I’m tired of pretending this man can’t put down a great 200 freestyle. If I see a 50 fly or 100 back day 1 at Pan Pacs, I’m crashing out.

Crazy amount of downvotes considering he’s got 4 52s in the 100 back in his career and hasn’t been within a second of his 52.5 in a year and his 50 fly individually is not much better than what he goes out in the 100 fly

I don’t think he should touch anything about the 50 back anymore. 24.6/54.0 at the last meet? Big difference

If I were to guess I think he does the 5p fly, as much as I’d love to see him do a 200 free

Funny enough, when he was in early high school, 200 free and 100 back were his events. Later on junior and senior year is when he went to the 200 IM and 100 fly.
