Assists the head coach in the development of a competitively successful women’s team which represents Indiana University positively and responsibly, and which provides student-athletes the opportunity for a positive experience and climate in which to achieve their academic, athletic and personal goals. This includes developing instructional plans for individual student-athletes, student-athletes in various sprint freestyle and stroke events, and for the entire team; and, within these instructional plans, addressing any special needs/issues as identified by the coaching staff. Organizes and effectively manages recruiting coordination efforts, as assigned, of prospective student-athletes who have the ability to be academically and athletically successful at Indiana University. This position will perform the administrative duties of the women’s recruiting coordinator.
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree and one year of coaching experience.
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.
Possess a valid driver’s license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University.
Highly motivated. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. High level of skills knowledge, organizational abilities, and professionalism.
Preferred: Coaching experience at the Division I level.
