George Mason University Intercollegiate Athletics invites applicants for a full-time Assistant Men’s & Women’s Coach for Diving. This position will primarily be responsible for coaching diving. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the recruitment of qualified student-athletes;
- Assist with the organization of practices/competition including on-deck coaching;
- Assist with scheduling and budget management;
- Coordinate travel arrangements;
- Monitor student athlete academic progress; and
- Social media outreach and alumni cultivation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Some (generally two (2)+ years) of College and/or Club Diving coaching experience;
- Must demonstrate understanding, compliance and commitment to all institution, Atlantic 10 Conference, NCAA and state rules and regulations;
- Current or able to obtain Lifeguarding, CPR, First-Aid, and AED Certifications; and
- Must currently possess an appropriate, active, valid motor vehicle operator’s license that meets all of GMU’s requirements for operating state vehicles and equipment under Mason’s Vehicle Use Policy 1411 https://universitypolicy.gmu.edu/policies/vehicle-use/. The Office of Risk Management reserves the right to review the driver’s licenses and Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs) of all candidates selected with employment contingent upon a favorable review.
