IUPUI Hires Caitlin Hamilton As Women’s Assistant Coach

IUPUI Swimming and Diving head coach, Matt Bos, has officially named Caitlin Hamilton as the new Women’s Assistant swim coach. Hamilton will be replacing the former women’s assistant / distance coach, Stephanie Palmeri. Palmeri accepted a position with St Joseph’s College in Long Island as the Head Coach and Assistant AD of Game Operations and Sponsorships.

Hamilton graduated from Purdue in 2013 after four years of college swimming. She spent her first year out of college as a graduate assistant with the Boilermakers and was an assistant coach at the University of Wyoming last year.

“We are very excited to add Caitlin to our coaching staff. Caitlin brings a lot of knowledge as an outstanding swimmer in her own right, and she has spent the past couple of years on the pool deck learning from some great coaches,” Bos said.  “Along with her passion and enthusiasm for the sport, I am excited on how she will help keep elevating our program.”

As a student-athlete for the Boilermakers from 2009-13, Hamilton was team captain for the 2012-13 season and competed at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic trials. She was an NCAA All-American in 2010 and 2011.

The IUPUI women’s team finished third out of seven at the 2015 Summit League Championships.
