GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida men’s and women’s diving teams will compete in the Auburn Diving Invitational over the next four days at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center in Auburn, Ala.
The Gator women’s squad will be represented by Brooke Madden, Ashley McCool, Elizabeth Perez, Abigail Howell and Emma Whitner.
Alex Farrow and Nick Carlin will lead the men’s efforts over the week.
McCool and Farrow have led the Gator diving efforts for their respective squads through the halfway point of the season. McCool has been tabbed the SEC Diver of the Week twice and has posted nine event victories. Farrow received All-SEC Honors on Oct. 15 and posted a new 1-meter lifetime best of 312.90 against Nova and Indian River.
Last year Florida’s women’s team won the event with 184 total points over the competition. The men posted a fourth-place finish with 93 points.
The orange and blue will compete against Auburn, LSU, South Carolina, Missouri and Tennessee at the site of this year’s Southeastern Conference Championships.

Head Diving Coach Bryan Gillooly– “This meet is a really great opportunity for us to get some training in at the SEC championship meet site against most of the top SEC teams. In diving, every facility and every diving board is different. Lighting, and even the building structure itself, greatly affects a diver’s special awareness, which will ultimately determine how well you can perform your dives. The training is more of the focus for us this week. The results will follow. It’s also championship meet format so we will be working on some competition strategies individually to set us up for the spring season.”
