MAC Announces 2015 Academic All-MAC Team
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its 2015 Academic All-MAC Team on Friday. A total of 51 student-athletes were named to the men’s team and 93 to the women’s.
The RedHawks men’s team took the top spot with 14 student-athletes being recognized, while Missouri State followed with nine student-athletes.
Junior Evan Bader, sophomore Connor Cashman, senior Samuel Crockett, junior Sean DeMuro, sophomore Brian Donohue, junior Christopher Dieter, sophomore Maximillian Jelen, junior Cole Fryman, sophomore Sean Sargent, junior Jacob Prodoehl, sophomore Grant Stafford, junior Davis Staley, sophomore Jack Strauss, junior Heshan Unamboowe earned Academic All-MAC honors this season.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. In order to be named to the team, the student-athlete must have a minimum of a 3.20 GPA and must have competed in 50 percent of competitions for that particular sport.
