Former Arizona All-American Bryan O’Connor Joining ADN Swim Project Staff

Bryan O’Connor, a former All-American at Arizona and coach of Tucson Ford, has accepted a job working with the A.D.N. Swim Project, a professional swim team based out of Caserta, Italy.

The A.D.N. Swim Project is a multi-national pro training group led by a staff that includes Andrea di Nino, Giuseppi di Giulio, and Brazilian Arilson Soares da Silva.

Among the clubs current athletes are:

  • Sergey Fesikov of Russia, who earned a bronze medal at the Olympics as part of the 400 free relay;
  • Evgeny Korotyshkin, the silver medalist in the 100 fly at the Olympics;
  • Bruno Fratus, who though recovering from injury was 4th in the 50 free at the Olympics in 2012;
  • Young, hugely talented Andrii Govorov from the Ukraine;
  • Evgeny Lazuka of Azerbaijan, who was once among the top youth talents in the world that is trying to revive his career;
  • Russian Vitaly Melnikov; and
  • Brazil’s Henrique Martins, who briefly was at Arizona with O’Connor

O’Connor was a backstroker and IM’er as a swimmer, and was the Associate Head Coach at Tucson Ford from 2010 until January of 2013.

Congrats to Bryan O’connor, that’ll be a great experience for him. I have it under good authority that Arilson da Silva and Bruno Fratus will not rejoin the team in Europe. They will make their home base in brazil again
