Florida State Seminoles Pick Up High Ranked Georgia Recruit

Alexi Smith has announced her verbal commitment to Florida State University.  She will swim for the Seminoles under Head Coach Frank Bradley.  Smith, who currently swims for SwimAtlanta, is one of the Top Ranked Recruits out of the State of Georgia.  She mainly competes in the Sprint Freestyle events.

She was the Georgia 6A High School Champion last year in the 50 and Runner-Up in the 100 Freestyle with times of 23.14 and 50.94.  Her 50 time was good enough for an Automatic All-American. Her 100 was good enough for All-American Consideration time.  Her times would have put her competitive for the top-24 at the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships last year.  She will be training with a very strong Seminole sprint group that produced ACC Champion Tiffany Oliver in both events last year.
