2021 NCAA champion Flora Molnar announced that she was expecting a baby girl on Instagram Tuesday, one week after letting her followers know that she would be moving from Alabama to her native Hungary.
“We might not have been planned to have a baby yet, but God gave us the biggest miracle and blessing! We are so excited to meet you,” Molnar wrote on Instagram, with the baby due this coming November.

Molnar, 23, finished up her four-year career at the University of Alabama this past March, winning the 400 freestyle relay at the 2021 Women’s NCAA Championships along with her Crimson Tide teammates Morgan Scott, Kalia Antoniou and Cora Dupre. The same quartet also won SEC titles in the women’s 200 and 400 free relays in 2021.
A 2016 Hungarian Olympian, Molnar implied she may return to competitive in the future, telling SwimSwam: “For now I’m gonna put swimming on hold.”
The Nagykanizsa, Hungary nartive graduated this past April as a 10-time All-American, including first team honors in both the victorious 400 free relay and the 200 free relay (sixth place) at the 2021 NCAAs. Molnar was also named a First Team CSCAA Scholar All-American in each of her last two seasons at Alabama.

In addition to placing 25th in the women’s 50 free at the 2016 Olympics, Molnar also represented Hungary at the 2017 World Championships on home soil in Budapest, placing 19th in the 50 fly, 28th in the 50 free and contributing on both the women’s 400 free and 400 medley relays.
What wonderful decision she is making, she’ll never regret it!
She was pregnant at NCAAs . What a champion.
If the baby due is November then in March she may not even knew yet that she was pregnant.
Technically a 5 person relay
Congrats! Kids are awesome!
Oof
Is she married? Who is the father?
Are any of those questions remotely relevant.
Use protection kids…
Unfortunately, likely a career-ender for her.
Swim “career”… that is funny
Congratulations Flora😊
she’s 23, she knew that
