Go Brasil !!!
29.86 for Ruta in 50 BR!
…our commentator friend has her as being 17! Dare I allow his lazy remarks to stop me from watching the swimming. I am getting so wound up!!!
Men’s 200 free final.
No surprise.
Gold medal for Mack Horton in 1.47.55.
Third gold medal for him before the 800 free and the 1500 free! And perhaps the 4X200 free relay!
Can finish the meet with 6 gold medals!
Second place for James Guy in 1.48.28.
Third place for Andrea D’Arrigo in 1.48.28.
6th place for Caeleb Dressel in 1.49.29. It’s disappointing to see him wasting his energy in this event before the 50 free and the 100 free.
Now what does Ruta have left in the tank…
Uh oh, looks like Dressel is Morozoving…
Women’s 200 fly final.
Gold medal for Katie McLaughlin!!!!
2.08.72 for her despite a bad touch at the end.
Great last 50 for her!

THEN, he complained about someone’s name in the 100 free, and said if a name has more than 3 syllables, the bearers should adopt a nickname to help commentators! I think he meant LAZY commentators, as good ones look at the start lists before hand and practice any difficult names, and then he was referring to James Guy, and called him James Day. Now Guy is a single syllable name,… Read more »
Shame to see so many empty seats.
That tiny little corridor from the last call room makes it look like they are coming out of a portaloo or something 🙂
Second place for a Lithuanian swimmer!
