Cindy Tran, two-time NCAA Champion shares how to focus on the overall plan, and what they do to bond as a team at Cal. She is the first of several interviews with top swimmers and coaches!
Two great dual meets took place this past weekend – the Cal Berkeley women and University of Texas women raced on Friday. Then, on Saturday, both the Cal men and women raced University of Wisconsin men and women.
In this actual interview, I talked with Cindy Tran, two-time NCAA Champion in the 100 yard backstroke, and Cal Berkeley team NCAA Champion. She is one bright girl who is getting ready for another stellar year! I personally thought she swam VERY fast (based on her typical times in the off season), even with heavy training currently going on.
I caught up with her at the very end of the second of the two meets. Listen to her share what she has been up to and what is going on for her, next summer! Also, there is a nice reminder in here, to focus on the big picture and plan of the season, and use meets along the way as benchmarks to gauge our training, race strategy, etc. to be our best in the final meets!
Enjoy!
