Williams Bests MIT, Middlebury in Back-to-Back Dual Meets

The Ephs of Williams certainly had a weekend filled with fast swimming. On Friday they faced off against the MIT Engineers and came out on top (192-97 for women, 159-137 for men). Less than eighteen hours later, the Ephs were back up on the blocks racing NESCAC competitors Middlebury and again came out victorious (185-108 for women, 197-101 for men).

Warren Wilson men win on senior day triangular, Emory & Henry women win to finish undefeated season

Warren Wilson college hosted the Greensboro college men and women and the Emory & Henry women, with the home team winning on the men’s side and the E&H women staying undefeated with a pair of wins.

Eagles Swamped by Crimson Tide

On Saturday afternoon, the men and women of Emory’s Swimming & Diving program faced off against Division I competition in the form of the University of Alabama at the Don Gambril Olympic Pool in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Crimson Tide beat both the Eagles on both sides, taking the victory 196-92 over the men, and 178-110 over the women.

MIT Senior Day is Victory over Amherst

On senior day and at its final home meet of the 2013-14 season, the MIT men’s swimming and diving team defeated Amherst College by a score of 185-115. This is the third year in a row that the Engineers have come out on top in a meet against the Lord Jeffs.

The Emory University Swimming and Diving team turned in some of its strongest dual meet performances of campaign, but both the Emory men and women were ultimately defeated by NCAA Division I Georgia Tech on ‘Senior Day’ at the Woodruff Physical Education Center on Saturday afternoon.

Records Fall as SUNY Geneseo Women Win Tri Meet

On Saturday, the women of SUNY Geneseo brought their all to the tri-meet hosted in Wilmington, PA to come out victorious over Carnegie Mellon and Westminster, breaking several diving records and a relay pool record on their way to the crown.

DU Squads Split; Lose One, Win One

For the second-straight weekend, the Denison’s swimming & diving teams competed in split-squad action against Division I and Division III opponents. In a tri-meet at the University of Pittsburgh, the Big Red fell to the host Panthers. At the Trumbull Aquatics Center, DU defeated Grove City.

Albion College Tops Hope College

“One of the things I outlined with the captains was how I thought this was going to be a close meet,” Albion Coach Jake Taber said. “I didn’t know if we could win any of the first five events. Brad and Austin won those two and it set the tone.”
