200 butterfly Olympic Champion Chad le Clos, who had to pull out of the BHP Billiton Super Series earlier this year due to a shoulder injury, is back in the pool and racing.
le Clos swam both the 50 and 200 butterfly races over the weekend at a small meet at the Kings Park Centre in Durban, South Africa.
le Clos, who represented the Seagull Swim Club, posted times of 24.33 in the 50 and 1:57.74 in the 200.
On his twitter page le Clos tweeted “not 2 bad, 1st races of the year long course, 1 57 and 24,1 for the two butterfly races” he went on to say that he was “keen to get back training on Monday.”
In a separate tweet le Clos sent some inspirational words to the young swimmers who supported him at the meet “thanks for all the support today! to all the youngsters keep it up and most importantly keep BELIEVING in yourselves, gud job.”
