Carmel’s Peyton Mosbaugh headed to to Miami of Ohio after verbal commitment

Carmel Swim Club’s Peyton Mosbaugh has verbally committed to the Miami (OH) Redhawks for next season.

Mosbaugh is a strong butterflyer who also brings excellent backstroke and freestyle potential to Miami. She’s a part of the big Carmel Swim Club and Carmel High class that has been tearing it up in Indiana and beyond the past few seasons.

Mosbaugh’s most impressive time is probably her 55.70 in the 100 fly from last winter’s Indiana High School state championships. That time would have put her 10th at last year’s Mid-American Conference Championships, and would have been the top swimmer among Miami’s entrants.

She also adds some freestyle times (24.96/53.00/1:52.85) that could make her a relay factor down the road, particularly in the 800 free relay.

Miami is coming off a runner-up finish at those MAC Championships
