2016 NCSA Junior National Championships
Aroesty became the youngest female swimmer to go under 59 seconds in the 100 SCY Breaststroke. Her time of 58.98 was a full half second faster than Nikol Popov’s record-setting performance for the 15-16 year old age group.
2016 US Olympic Trials
Aroesty swam four events at the Trials, finishing 18th in both the 100M Breaststroke and 400M IM and 28th in the 200M Breaststroke. Her best showing was a 7th place finish in the 200M IM.
Ranked as the 3rd best recruit for women for the Class of 2017 by SwimSwam, Aroesty has verbally committed to the University of Southern California.
