Bryant Men Place Four on MAAC All-Academic Team
Four members of the Bryant University men’s swimming and diving team have been named to the MAAC All-Academic Team, the league announced on Wednesday night.
Harmon Earns Horizon League Swimmer of the Week
Krissy Harmon was named Horizon League Female Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday after winning the 1,000-yard freestyle against Bowling Green and Youngstown State on Feb. 5.
3x U.S. Coach of the Year, Bruce Gemmell, Signs with DLE Agency
Bruce Gemmell, the three-time, national swim coach of the year, has signed with the DLE Agency, for all media, marketing, and brand development work ahead of the 2016 Rio Olympics. With star pupils Andrew Gemmell and Katie Ledecky, Gemmell’s coaching efforts will be on center stage again this summer, during the largest sporting event in the world.
Taylor, Shallberg, and Gorham Earn Weekly Summit League Awards
South Dakota State’s Donovan Taylor was named Summit League Men’s Swimmer of the Week while South Dakota’s Julia Gorham and South Dakota State’s McKenna Shallberg earned Women’s Swimmers of the Week award for their performances during the week of Feb. 1-7.

Central Iowa Aquatics Hires Kyle Hastings as Head Coach
Central Iowa Aquatics is pleased to announce the hiring of Kyle Hastings as head coach. Kyle’s background includes extensive experience at the high school, USA Club, and NCAA Division I collegiate level. As a high school associate head coach, his successes included five straight high school championships and ten High School All-Americans.
Southern Illinois Men, Women Sweep Evansville
The Southern Illinois men and women finished their regular season with dual meet wins against Evansville while celebrating senior day. The men won the meet with a 179-62 score. The women were just as dominant, outscoring Evansville 191-46.
