Katinka Hosszu is having a pretty successful 2013; sweeping the IM events at the World Championships in Barcelona, adding a bronze in the 200 butterfly and then going on to break the 100, 200 and 400 IM short course world records on her way to winning her second straight World Cup series championship collecting $365,000 for her efforts.
Those efforts did not go unnoticed and only six days away from when she will be competing in seven individual events at the European Short Championships in Herning it was announced that Hosszu will now be sponsored by the German car company Audi.
Hosszu made the announcement on her twitter account:
Happy to announce that AUDI and I partnered up! #bestcareverpic.twitter.com/Ph4NZKPEwR

Audi has given the world champion use of an Audi S3 for the next year, an agreement that can be renewed annually.
I believe it’s quite rare for car manufacturers to sponsor swimmers so this is good news. Now Hosszu can use her new car to drive around Europe to catch even more swim meets.
