Cody Miller Vlog: Indiana Pro Group Returns To Practice at IU

2016 Olympian Cody Miller has published his latest vlog, detailing the Indiana pro training group’s return to practice at the IU facility.

Miller says it’s the first time he’s been back in the main IU pool for six months. Colleges across the country shut down facilities or restricted access amid the worldwide coronavirus pandemic.

Miller spends some time fanning out over magician David Blaine‘s recent stunt that involved floating almost 25,000 feet in the air while holding a bunch of balloons. Then he gives an inside glimpse into some of the safety precautions the swimmers have to take in returning to the facility.

The athletes have to wear masks in the building, except when they’re in the water. Miller says the swimmers will put their masks into a plastic baggie when they hop in the pool and put the mask back on when they get out. They also have to social distance – he and Blake Pieroni demonstrate how to properly use the floor stickers – a 2020 feat we’ve all had to get used to.

It’s just the pro group in the pool – not Indiana’s collegiate team. Miller lists the group members training that day: himself, Lilly King, Laura Morley, Annie Lazor, Bailey Andison, Zach Apple, Blake Pieroni, Youssef El-Kamash and Zane Grothe.

Cause IU doesn’t care about rules.

I always wondered that. It seems that some schools allow the pros to train and others don’t.
I dont know if the loophole is Lane 1 – 30 is for school, and the rest are for Pro…

Amanda Beard’s book talked about how she the USC Pro group had to train separate from the school during NCAA season. I think she was able to train with the college team in AZ during the season, or at least she didn’t mention it. with UCLA she could train with the team since it was outside of the college season.

I figured that volunteer assistant was the loophole…

Anyone in the know care to weigh in?

$80 off your HelloFresh should ease the pain

The target audience for his vlogs are kids. I think he does a great job of showing swimming as a fun, challenging sport for these kids. They also get some insight into the type of work pro swimmers do day-to-day. I think his vlogs only help our sports. The more swimming content out there, the better

What kid uses a man groomer and eats HelloFresh?

Seems like an issue with the companies approaching him for sponsorships not knowing his target audience. Cody makes $$$ either way. All power to him

The guy is about to have a kid and it only makes sense that he would want to be financially comfortable so that his kid could live a good life. Why on earth wouldn’t he take on sponsorship deals? We all know that just swimming won’t be enough to raise a child.

This guy figured out how to make money off swimming and probabaly set up a career for after.

I also enjoyed Michael Andrew’s videos and how they kept improving in production quality. I wonder why he stopped making them?
