The Virginia Tech swimming & diving teams the latest ACC programs to have their schedule altered by Winter Storm Jonas descending upon the east coast of the United States.
The Hokies were scheduled to swim in Cincinnati against the University of Cincinnati and Wright State University on Saturday, which on two legs would be a matchup of old Big East Conference rivals.
Cincinnati and Wright State are still scheduled to carry on with a dual meet, as Ohio is not expected to be subject to the worst part of the storm.
Other ACC events impacted:
- Virginia’s road trip to the Carolinas has been postponed and will be raced as a high-powered double dual in Chapel Hill on January 29th between Virginia, North Carolina, and North Carolina State.
- Louisville’s meet against Kentucky will still happen on Saturday, but has been moved later in the day, to 4PM from 1PM, in an attempt to miss the worst of the weather.
- Boston College’s attendance at the Dartmouth INvitational and Georgia Tech’s dual about Alabama have not yet had any announced impacts.
Just because you didn’t or couldn’t get accepted to Virginia Tech doesn’t mean you have the right to insult the best university in the entire solar system. Besides, we’ll take on any college sports team no matter who, what, where, when or why! GO HOKIES — ALL DAY, EVERY DAY!!!!
