If you are looking to catch live action from the 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships set to begin tomorrow, July 13th in Glasgow, Scotland, you will be pleased to know that a record number of broadcasters and coverage has been confirmed for this year’s event.

With 580 swimmers from over 70 countries set to take on the world, New Zealand’s Attitude Pictures, Spain’s Grada1, Japan’s SkyPerfect TV, Germany’s SportDeutschland.TV and Great Britain’s Channel 4, BBC Radio 5 Live and US Paralympics have all confirmed live coverage of the sporting production.

News and highlight coverage has been committed by American TV network NBC, Italy’s Rai Sport, Spain’s RTVE, Germany’s ARD, ZDF and news distribution network SID, Brazilian broadcaster Empresa Brasileira de Comunicacao, Japan’s NHK and Scottish STV, signaling the trend that more and more people all over the world are “recognizing the value of Paralympic sport as elite sport”, according to New Zealand’s AttitudeNow TV network founder, Robyn Scott-Vincent.

“The London 2012 Paralympic Games were regarded by the world’s leading television networks as a game changer,” Scott-Vincent said. “The London opening ceremony attracted an average audience of eight million for Channel 4 in the UK. That compares with the BBC’s 2.8 million viewers peak coverage of the Beijing 2008 Paralympics.”

In total, 16 total broadcasters from 8 countries will be showing highlights and live coverage online and television, while 122 journalists, non-rights holders and photographers will also be in attendance at the Tollcross International Swimming Center.

Not in the viewing region of any of the aforementioned networks? Anyone, with the exception of Great Britain and Germany due to broadcast rights, can still watch their favorite swimmers online via www.Glasgow2015.com during the entire duration of the championships.
