PAC-12 – WOMEN

Whether a fan of the Stanford Cardinal, their rival Cal Golden Bears, or any other team in the country, there’s no denying that Stanford women’s head coach Greg Meehan is one of the hottest coaches in the country. Among other accomplishments, he led Stanford to a 2nd-place finish at last year’s NCAA Championships and was named the 2014 CSCAA Division I National Coach of the Year.

On Friday, the Pac-12 Conference gave fans of the sport insight into how Meehan has coached his swimmers to 2 National Age Group and 2 NCAA Records so far this weekend at the 2016 Pac-12 Swimming & Diving Championships.

Throughout the clip, Meehan spans the range of insightful, consoling, encouraging, calm, and enthusiastic and even employs some playful ribbing of his swimmers. Like any great coach in any sport, Meehan uses a whole host of tools to put his swimmers in the right mindset to race.
