Video: Louisville Swimming Training Trip

Soon after their Swammy Award-winning viral hit airport training video (embedded below, because it’s just as hilarious the fourteenth time as it was the first), the swimming videographers at the University of Louisville are at it again, this time with a short film documenting their training trip to Sarasota, Florida.

This is a prime example of the training trip video trend, with everything you could ask for: upbeat music, underwater GoPro shots, sunrise yoga, and race clips from their red/black intrasquad meet.

The Louisville team, coached by Arthur Albiero, is coming off a 2014-2015 season that was one of the best in the history of the program; the women finished 6th at NCAA Nationals, and the men finished 15th.

At last season’s national meet, lead swimmer Kelsi Worrell became the first swimmer in history to break the SCY 50 second barrier in the 100 fly in prelims, dropping her record time even further to a 49.81 in finals. Earlier this month at the Mutual of Omaha Duel in the Pool, Worrell teamed up with Courtney Bartholomew, Katie Meili, and Simone Manuel to take down the SCM world record in the 400 medley relay. This is Worrell’s senior year with the Cardinals, and here you can see her in action.
