Plant High School’s Morgan Tankersley was a force to be reckoned with in the middle distance freestyle races on Saturday night at the 2016 Florida High School 4A State Championships.
Morgan Tankersley smashed a pair of state records tonight, clocking a 1:44.3 in the 200 free and a 4:37.6 in the 500 free en route to 2 state championship titles.
On the boys’ side, Countryside’s Robert Finke established himself as one of the top swimmers to watch after breaking 4:30 in the 500 free at regionals.
Plant’s Morgan Tankersley put up a pair of statement swims at the region 2 meet, clocking Automatic All-American times in the 200 free (1:46.26) and 500 free (4:43.18).
