Anna Hopkin is a competitive swimmer who represents Great Britain internationally. College (Arkansas) 2018-2019 Hopkin opted to swim at the University of Arkansas, and immediately it seemed like a mutually beneficial decision for both parties. At Arkansas' mid-season rest meet, the Mizzou invite, Hopkin shattered the Arkansas school record in the 100 freestyle with a time of 47.05. And that was only the beginning. At the SEC Championships, Hopkin had runner-up finishes in both the 50 (21.58) and 100 (47.10) free, as well as a 5th place finish in the 200 free (1:44.56). At the NCAA Championships, Hopkin kept the ball rolling as she placed 2nd in the 100 free (46.56) and 5th in the 50 free (21.51), both new school records and best times. 2019-2020 Hopkin had a stellar start to her sophomore campaign, notching best times in the 50 free (21.19), 100 free (46.56) and 200 free (1:44.40) at the mid-season Mizzou Invite. She kept the fast times coming at the SEC Championships, where she threw down the fastest relay split in history* at 20.27 to help Arkansas earn a 4th place finish.
