Texas standout Madisyn Cox was on fire tonight, breaking Kathleen Hersey’s former school record in the 200 IM with a 1:52.83. That also makes her the 10th fastest performer of all time.
The Stanford men were on a roll this morning, putting 4 swimmers into the final of the 500 free and 5 swimmers into the final of the 200 IM.
Among the notable races to watch is the men’s 200 yard free, which will feature U.S. Olympic gold medalists Clark Smith and Townley Haas, as well as Stanford freshman standout Grant Shoults and Olympic champ Ous Mellouli.
Murphy came back in his signature backstroke races tonight with a nation-leading time of 1:41.80 to win the 200 back and a 46.08 victory in the 100 back.
