Swedish Swimming Federation Releases 2016 Competition Schedule

The Swedish Swimming Federation released their 2016 competition schedule earlier this week. Some of the adjustments in the Olympic year include:

  • Only one Grand Prix event when there are usually three that occur between January and April
  • The inclusion of Olympic Trials

The timing of the Olympic Trials has been set for March 30th-April 2nd in Stockholm. The timing of this event has affected the Grand Prix schedule.

The one Grand Prix event that will be held from January 30th-31st in Malmo. There will be cash prizes awarded at this competition.

The Swedish National Championships long course will be held from July 6th-10th in Norrkoping.

The Swedish Short Course Championships will be held from November 2nd-6th in Stockholm.
