Speedo USA, a division of PVH Corp. (NYSE: PVH), today announced that the new Missy Franklin Signature Series of swimsuits for women and girls, designed in collaboration with six-time Olympic medalist and world record-holder Missy Franklin, is available now for holiday pre-orders at SpeedoUSA.com and select retailers.

Inspired by the drive and contagious energy of young female athletes, Missy Franklin and Speedo USA collaborated to create the Missy Franklin Signature Series, which includes 18 pieces – one-piece suits and mix-and-match separates – across three vibrant color stories, designed to make women and girls feel comfortable and confident both in and out of the water.

“Everything Missy brings to the pool shines through in this collection – her extensive experience in and around the water, sense of style, vibrant personality and creative spirit,” said John Graham, President of Speedo USA. “She has been a phenomenal partner, lending her understanding of what makes a great suit – both for training in the water and feeling confident by the pool or on the beach. We are thrilled to make this collaborative line available today.”

The new collection from Speedo USA features durable, chlorine-resistant fabric both on the outside and inside of the suits, allowing them to provide added support and better maintain their shape and color swim after swim. One of Franklin’s favorite mottos, “With strength and dignity…,” is also inscribed as a special inspiration on the suits’ grippers and bands.

“Over the years, I’ve learned so much about finding joy in the water – as a competitor and someone who enjoys spending time at the pool with family and friends,” said Franklin. “Self-expression is important in both settings, and wearing bright colors and patterns with my pink Speedo goggles has always brought a smile to my face. To have created a line with Speedo USA that stands up to tough training and is comfortable and fun for everyday use at the pool has been an incredible experience for me.”

From the start of this collaboration in 2015, Franklin worked hand-in-hand with the Speedo USA design team to create the Missy Franklin Signature Series. In several sessions, both at Speedo USA’s headquarters in Cypress, Calif., and at Franklin’s family home in Denver, Colo., she and the Speedo USA team brought to life a storyboard vision, working through every detail – from shapes, cuts and fit to colors and patterns – to develop the final collection.

The Missy Franklin Signature Series’ suggested retail price starts at $69 for one piece suits and $24 to $34 for two-piece separates. One piece suits and tops are available in sizes 24 to 40, with bottoms in sizes small to extra-large. Suits may be purchased at SpeedoUSA.com and select retailers.

Since you are doing MissyWear product ads here, what do you think of the new Dos Equis beer ads featuring a 45-old Michael Phelps as the new “Most Interesting Man in the World”?

: -)

I also recognized “Phelps from the future” in those ads. I’m sure SwimSwam would be happy to post them if Dos Equis were to become a “SwimSwam partner.” You could throw Intel powered computers in the mix while you’re at it.
